Vocational training, also known as Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Career and Technical Education (CTE), provides job-specific technical training for work in the trades. Earlier Vocational training was used in very few sectors only to prepare certain trades, but now it ranges from hand trades & retail to tourism management. Vocational training programs offer students to opt for specific careers. Prospective students can choose standalone courses, certificate/diploma-granting programs, associate’s degree programs and apprenticeships. These programs usually focus on delivering students with hands-on experience to match the industry standards with course certification, or a diploma certificate. Vocational training also helps the candidates in searching their desired jobs easily as the training provides certification which is added advantage to them. Vocational training can be taken by the individuals either in high school, college or at trade schools.

India is the second largest & fastest growing telecom market in the world. The booming telecom industry has been attracting large amount of investments in the country.

 With telephone subscribers 892.02 million. The percent of urban subscribers is 61.87% whereas rural subscribers percent of is 38.92%.. With a  overall Tele-density of  72.90% . The subscriber base has been increased to 25% CAGR and the revenues for the same period have grown at CAGR of 11%.

 The major growth in the numerous telecom services has been contributed mainly by Wireless segment, The Mobile operators in this segment have solely contributed to 2.4% of India’s GDP generating an estimated 2.3 million jobs across the country.

The IT-ITeS Industry is also known as Biometric Technician and Biometric Coordinator.

Domestic Biometric Data Operator’s Brief Job Description:

Individuals job differ depending on the work system of the organization. The main responsibility of the Individuals at this job is to maintain  the smooth functioning of biometric data capture and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. And also may  include installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, troubleshooting biometric system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults etc. Minimum Education : 10th standard

Domestic Data Entry Operator Brief Job Description:

The main task in this job is to  provide daily work reports and work on daily hour bases. The individuals  is responsible for electronic entry of data from the client side to the office site or vice-versa. According to proportion of the organization the jobs will be altered. Minimum Education : 10th standard

Domestic IT Help desk Attendant:

In the IT-ITeS Industry this  is also known as a Help desk Executive, Service Desk Executive, Technology Support Executive, IT Support Executive , Help desk Coordinator.

Brief Job Description:

In this job, individuals task is to handle the proper functioning of computer systems and make sure users get maximum assistance from them. The job includes but may include monitoring computer systems and networks; talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues; diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults and troubleshooting system and network problems and etc. Minimum Education : 12th  standard.

In current market situation The Indian retail structure  is majorly damaged by The introduction of Organized Retail into the Indian market, which is much below the levels than the other countries. Organized/Modern retailing refers to trading activities undertaken by licensed retailers and includes formats such as hypermarkets and supermarkets, and retail chains. But Organized Retail accounts for around 5% of the total retail market and has been growing at an impressive rate of 35% to 40% Y-O-Y in the last few years in the overall retail industry.

 But Traditional/unorganized retailing contributes to about 95% of total retail revenues., which involves the local kirana shops, paan /beedi shops, hand cart and pavement vendors, etc. And it continues to be the backbone of the Indian retail industry.

Electronics sector in India has been developing rapidly over the last couple of years offering unique opportunities and challenges. Skill shortage in the manpower is one of the most substantial demand Among the many challenges, that this  sector is facing. While there is a large demand for skilled workforce, there are neither national occupational standards nor any work systems to simplify the education or the  skill development programs for Electronics sectors in the country. As a result, there is an inconsistency in the competency level, affecting efficiency, productivity and delivery of goods & services.

As electronic sector provides various opportunity with additional drive on higher value in manufacturing and product development, the estimated employment in the ESDM industry is expected to grow exponentially to4 million by 2022. This would translate to an incremental human resource requirement of about 3.2 million.

The Indian ESDM sector has 8 verticals, namely Consumer Electronics, IT Hardware, Telecommunications Equipment, Electronics Components, Strategic Electronics, Automotive, Medical & Healthcare and Industrial Electronics etc.
